What is my purpose?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nWhen we reflect upon our own existence we will come to the realisation that, at some point in time, we began to exist. Since we once did not exist and now we do, it follows that we must have had a beginning. In light of this the Qur\u2019an puts forward a simple but powerful argument with regards to our origins:<br \/>\n<strong><em>\u201cOr were they created by nothing? Or were they the creators (of themselves)? Or did they create the heavens and earth?
